Evan is officially walking now! It is amazing how much better he is doing in just the past few days. He now prefers to walk instead of crawl. He walks all over the house (and gets into all kinds of trouble!). He still stumbles sometimes, but he is doing so well.  He still likes to hold onto one of our fingers sometimes, but it is usually if we are walking somewhere other than the house. Here he is walking with his daddy at the restaurant last week.

Evan decided last week that he isn’t really into eating baby food anymore. He has decided that he only wants to eat table food. We are still trying to use up the baby food that we have left, but it really depends on his mood. So far, he really likes green beans, peas, carrots, rice, pasta, watermelon, peaches, and blueberries! Here he is with a mouthful of food. He hasn’t quite learned not to talk with food in his mouth :-)

When we were camping Matt thought it would be a good idea to teach Evan something we call “crazy arms”. Evan puts both arms up, waves them around, and at the same time says “ahhhh”. Well he caught on to that very quickly and now he does it all of the time. Here he is doing it while we were out to dinner last week.

Evan tripped and fell on our last day camping and got a cut on his forehead. It was the first time what we had to put a bandaid on him. Here he is being a good sport about it!

Here are the two boys having lots of fun together! The only thing that wasnt so fun was their 4 am playdates when their mommies and daddies wanted to sleep!! Overall they both did great though!

Evan had lots of fun swimming and walking in the lake with mommy and daddy. He also liked playing in the sand! He even napped at the beach because he got so tired.

Evan went camping in Allegany for the first time this past week. We all had a great time! Evan loved going to the beach to play in the sand and swim in the lake.  He also enjoyed walking in the creek and getting very dirty!! His friend Aydin was there with us too and they had lots of fun together. Evan wanted to walk all over the place, but can’t quite do it on his own yet. He would come over to us, grab our finger, and then start walking, even if we werent ready. He has taken 8 steps on his own now and he is getting better every day.  Here are some pictures of our camping adventures!

Evan is 10 months old today! He is getting better with walking, but can’t do it on his own yet. He likes to walk holding onto our hands and he cruises all around the furniture. He is able to walk only holding one of our hands, but sometimes walks in circles because he doesnt quite have his balance yet. He wants to walk or stand all of the time now.  He is now eating the 3rd stage baby food which has some chunks in it. We have tried to give him some table food (pancakes, bread, eggs, pasta, etc.). Sometimes he eats it, but other times he just spits it right out.  We are trying though! Here he is all happy after waking mommy up at 6:30 this morning!

We were at the grocery store the other night and a litle old man was trying to get Evan to wave to him. He told Evan that if he waved, he would give him a dollar. Well the man gave Evan the dollar anyway and then Evan started clapping his hands. Here he is holding his money! :-)
